Huge weekend rush at Lalbagh as 219th Flower Show draws nearly 69,000 visitors

The iconic Lalbagh Flower Show witnessed massive footfall on Sunday, generating over ₹31.40 lakh in revenue, with visitors of all age groups thronging the botanical garden.

The 219th edition of the Lalbagh Flower Show witnessed an overwhelming response from the public, with a massive crowd turning up over the weekend. On Sunday alone, a total of 68,496 visitors visited the iconic botanical garden to witness the grand floral displays.

Officials reported that the flower show generated a revenue of ₹31 lakh and 40 thousand in just one day, highlighting the event’s popularity among residents and tourists alike. The weekend turnout turned Lalbagh into a sea of visitors, with long queues seen from early morning hours.

The footfall data shows strong participation across different age groups. A total of 44,275 adults visited the flower show, while 10,176 children were part of the audience. In addition, 2,045 school students also attended the event, making it an educational and recreational outing for young learners.

The large turnout during the weekend indicates the growing public interest in Lalbagh’s flower shows, which are known for their elaborate floral arrangements, themed displays, and horticultural exhibits. Authorities ensured smooth crowd management and ticketing arrangements to handle the rush. Despite the heavy footfall, visitors were able to move through the exhibition areas with regulated entry.

With strong attendance figures and significant revenue collection, the 219th Lalbagh Flower Show continues to remain one of Bengaluru’s most awaited public events. Officials expect similar or higher footfall in the coming days as the show progresses.
