India’s premier research institute, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), has announced recruitment for Security Assistant posts with a salary of ₹35,000 per month and no application fee.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), one of India’s most prestigious research and higher education institutions, has announced a fresh recruitment drive to strengthen its security wing. IISc has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Security Assistant, offering an opportunity to work at the renowned campus in Bengaluru.
According to the notification, a total of five Security Assistant posts are available. Candidates selected for these roles will be posted in Bengaluru and will be entrusted with security-related responsibilities at the country’s leading scientific institution. The recruitment is aimed at candidates who value discipline, responsibility and service.
The maximum age limit to apply for the post is 50 years. Notably, IISc has clarified that no application fee is required, making the recruitment process accessible to a wide range of applicants. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹35,000, providing stable financial support.
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages and will include a trade test, physical efficiency test and an interview. Candidates who successfully clear all stages will be considered for final appointment.

Candidates are required to go to the ‘Careers’ section, carefully read the recruitment notification, fill in their personal and educational details, and upload the necessary documents as part of the application process.
The application window opened on January 6, 2026, and the last date to apply is January 27, 2026. With a limited number of vacancies and a clear deadline, candidates are advised not to delay their applications.
