First H125 helicopter roll out by 2027
The launch of this facility is seen as a significant step towards bolstering India’s self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. By establishing this assembly unit, Airbus and Tata aim to elevate India from being a consumer of helicopters to a producer. The first H125 helicopter, expected to roll out of the unit, is projected to be completed by 2027.
This collaboration underscores India’s growing capabilities in the aerospace sector and its push towards expanding domestic manufacturing. The unit will not only support India’s private sector but also contribute to the country’s defense and emergency response needs, marking a new era for the aviation industry in India.
