Rajahamsa and Ashwamedha buses to operate exclusive weekend and special-day package tours with fixed fares, covering major pilgrim and tourist destinations.
The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Bengaluru, has announced special package tour services operating on weekends and select special days to offer convenient and affordable travel options for tourists and pilgrims.
According to an official press note, these services will run every Saturday and Sunday, excluding entrance fees and food expenses such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The initiative has received encouraging response from passengers, prompting KSRTC to continue and expand the service.
Under this plan, KSRTC will operate both Rajahamsa and Ashwamedha category buses from Bengaluru, covering popular tourist and pilgrimage circuits across Karnataka. The details of the package tours, including destinations, distance, service type, introduction dates, and fares, are as follows:

1. Bengaluru - Gaganachukki Package (Rajahamsa Service)
This 340-km journey covers Somnathapura, Talakadu, Madhyaranga, and Barachukki before reaching Gaganachukki. Introduced on July 5, 2025, the fare is ₹750 for adults and ₹600 for children.
2. Bengaluru - Gaganachukki Package (Ashwamedha Service)
Covering the same 340-km route, this service was launched on July 20, 2024. The fare is ₹600 for adults and ₹450 for children.
3. Bengaluru - Chikka Tirupati Package (Ashwamedha Service)
This 270-km circuit includes Chikka Tirupati, Kotilingeshwara, Bangaru Tirupati, Avani, Mulbagal, Kurudumale, and Kolar. Introduced on June 28, 2025, the fare is ₹600 for adults and ₹450 for children.
4. Bengaluru - Melkote Package (Ashwamedha Service)
This 350-km route covers Srirangapatna, Kallahalli, and Melkote. Launched on May 31, 2025, fares are ₹670 for adults and ₹500 for children.
