To ease festive travel across Karnataka, KSRTC announces special bus services from September 17 to 20, covering state and interstate destinations with discounts for early bookings.
Good news for festival travelers! KSRTC has announced a massive deployment of 2,500 additional buses across Karnataka from September 17 to 20 to ensure smooth travel for Diwali celebrations. The extra services are designed to reduce congestion and make commuting more convenient for passengers heading to both local and interstate destinations.

The special buses will operate from major hubs including Majestic, Shantinagar, Satellite, and Peenya bus stations, covering popular Karnataka destinations such as Dharmasthala, Sringeri, Mangaluru, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Shivamogga, Gokarna, Karwar, and north Karnataka cities like Hubballi, Belagavi, Dharwad, Vijayapura, and Yadgir.
For interstate travelers, KSRTC will provide services from Majestic to Tirupati, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, and from Shantinagar to Tamil Nadu and Kerala destinations including Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, and Calicut. Meanwhile, Satellite bus station will cover Mysuru, Mandya, Ramanagara, Kushalnagar, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Virajpet, and Periyapatna.

All services, from ordinary KSRTC buses to Airavata and sleeper coaches, are available for booking. To encourage early reservations, passengers can enjoy a 5% discount for single-way bookings and 10% discount for round-trip advance bookings through the official website: www.ksrtc.karnataka.gov.in.
KSRTC also confirmed that extra buses will operate even after the festival, including return services on September 22 and 26, ensuring passengers can travel home comfortably without facing shortages.
