KSRTC launches Bengaluru–Tirupati overnight package with guaranteed Special Entry Darshan, meal options and premium buses, priced Rs 2,200–2,600, book online or at counters
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has rolled out a new ‘Tirupati Darshan Package’ from Bengaluru, aimed at making the popular pilgrimage simpler for travellers by bundling travel and darshan arrangements into a single booking. The initiative is designed to reduce the usual stress pilgrims face—especially the challenge of coordinating transport with darshan tickets and spending long hours in queues.
Under the package, KSRTC will run overnight services from Bengaluru so passengers can reach Tirupati early in the morning and proceed for darshan with a pre-confirmed slot. The tour includes Special Entry Darshan (also known as Sheeghra Darshan), which is meant to offer faster access compared with general lines and helps pilgrims avoid uncertain waiting times. The corporation expects the offering to be particularly useful for senior citizens and travellers on tight schedules, as the plan prioritises convenience and time management.

Ticket prices are expected to range from around Rs 2,200 to Rs 2,600 per person, and the amount includes the Rs 300 Special Entry Darshan ticket. Travellers can also choose packages that add meals such as breakfast and lunch, depending on the fare selected. To cater to different budgets and comfort preferences, KSRTC is offering multiple bus options, including premium categories like Airavat and Club Class. A guide will be available during the darshan process to coordinate the group and support passengers through key steps, helping the visit run smoothly.
Bookings can be made online through KSRTC’s official websites, and similar options are available via the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) portal as well. Passengers can also purchase tickets offline at major KSRTC bus stations and authorised counters across Karnataka. Officials have advised travellers to reserve seats about 15 days in advance, as Tirupati trips see heavy demand—particularly on weekends and auspicious dates.
