A shocking case has rocked one of the city’s reputed private colleges after a 19-year-old BCA student filed a complaint accusing her Head of Department, Sanjeev, of sexual harassment. According to the FIR, the lecturer allegedly invited the student to his home for lunch, claiming he wanted to “help her with academics.” However, when she arrived, she found no one else present. The student alleged that Sanjeev then behaved inappropriately and attempted to force her into sexual activity. Shocked and traumatized, the student managed to escape and later confided in her friends before filing a formal complaint.

Preliminary investigations reveal that Sanjeev had been mentoring the student due to her academic struggles and had allegedly been messaging her frequently under the guise of “personal guidance.” Police sources say the lecturer used this trust to lure her to his residence.
