Lokayukta officials carried out raids at 13 locations in Bengaluru over an alleged ₹250-crore civil works scam in RR Nagar constituency, following a complaint filed by former MP D.K. Suresh.

In a major anti-corruption operation, the Karnataka Lokayukta on Tuesday raided 13 locations across Bengaluru in connection with an alleged ₹250-crore scam related to civil works carried out in and around Rajarajeshwari (RR) Nagar constituency between 2019 and 2020.

The raids followed a complaint filed by former MP D.K. Suresh, leading to the registration of a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The complaint accused several engineers from the erstwhile Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), now under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), of large-scale misappropriation of public funds meant for civic works, including roads, drains, and infrastructure maintenance.
