Iconic ‘Ambari’ double decker buses begin city operations, offering a new sightseeing experience for visitors in the capital.
Bengaluru is set to get a fresh tourism attraction with the launch of London-style ‘Ambari’ double decker bus services in the city. The service will be officially flagged off on Wednesday morning at 10:30 am in front of Ravindra Kalakshetra, marking the beginning of a new sightseeing option for tourists visiting the capital.
The initiative is being introduced by the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) with the deployment of three specially designed double decker buses. These buses are inspired by the iconic London model and are aimed at promoting Bengaluru as a vibrant tourism destination.

The double decker buses had earlier gained popularity during the Mysuru Dasara celebrations, where they attracted large numbers of visitors for city tours. Following the positive response, the service is now being extended to Bengaluru to cater to both domestic and international tourists.
The buses are designed to offer an elevated travel experience, allowing passengers to enjoy a panoramic view of the city’s landmarks. The service is expected to cover key tourist spots and provide a convenient way for visitors to explore Bengaluru’s heritage, culture, and urban landscape.
With the launch of this service, Bengaluru joins the list of cities offering themed tourism transport, combining comfort with experience-driven travel.
