A fitness and nutrition influencer’s complaint of sustained online harassment and stalking led police to arrest a man who allegedly travelled across states to pursue her.
A fitness and nutrition influencer based in Bengaluru has alleged that she was harassed and stalked by a man she connected with on Instagram, prompting police action and the arrest of the accused. The woman, who has been living in Bengaluru for the past 15 years, approached the police after the alleged harassment moved from online platforms to her physical workplace.
According to the complaint, the accused, a resident of Haryana, obtained her phone number through social media and began sending obscene and inappropriate messages on Instagram and WhatsApp. Police said the harassment continued for several months, with repeated messages that were abusive, sexually explicit, and threatening in nature.
In her FIR, the influencer stated that the accused began stalking her online from March 2025. On May 10, 2025, he allegedly visited her family home in Dungarwas, Rewari district of Haryana, and displayed unwanted behaviour. She reportedly warned him not to contact her or her family again. Despite this, the same day, he allegedly sent abusive and threatening WhatsApp messages, including messages stating that he would come to Bengaluru.

The complaint further states that between October 24, 2025, and December 20, 2025, the accused continued to send sexually provocative and obscene messages to her Instagram account. Even after she blocked him, he allegedly created multiple new accounts to continue the harassment, outraging her modesty and causing mental distress.
The situation escalated further when the accused travelled from Haryana to Karnataka and allegedly visited the gym where the influencer works, enquiring about her with colleagues. This incident prompted her to approach the police.
Based on her complaint, the police registered a case, conducted an investigation, and arrested the accused. The matter is currently under further investigation, with authorities examining digital evidence related to the alleged harassment and stalking.
