After Malleshwaram, GBA moves to introduce paid parking across 31.7 km stretch in Jayanagar; hourly, daily and monthly rates announced.
After implementing the Pay & Park system in Malleshwaram, the civic body is now preparing to extend the same model to Jayanagar. The move is part of a larger traffic management strategy aimed at reducing congestion in busy commercial and residential stretches.
The Greater Bengaluru Authority has already identified 42 locations in Jayanagar where the paid parking system will be introduced. The project will cover a total road length of 31.7 kilometres.
Under the proposed arrangement, space will be created to accommodate more than 900 cars and over 3,500 two-wheelers. Officials believe that regulating roadside parking through structured fees will help bring order to chaotic parking patterns and improve vehicle movement.
