Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bengaluru on August 10 to launch the Yellow Line metro between RV Road and Bommasandra, flag off new Vande Bharat trains, and lay the foundation stone for Metro Phase 3.

Bengaluru will witness a major transport milestone on August 10 as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the Yellow Line metro, a 19.15 km stretch connecting Rashtriya Vidyalaya (RV) Road to Bommasandra with 16 stations. The Yellow Line will link the Green, Pink, and upcoming Blue metro corridors, ensuring faster connectivity from Electronic City’s IT hub to the city centre. Initially, trains will run every 30 minutes, with a driver on board despite the system being designed for driverless operations.

PM Modi will arrive at HAL Airport at 10:55 AM from Delhi by special flight, then fly by helicopter to the HQTC centre near Mekri Circle. At 11:15 AM, he will reach Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Railway Station to flag off three new Vande Bharat Express trains, including the Bengaluru-Belagavi route.

At 11:30 AM, Modi will travel to Ragigudda Metro Station on RV Road to inaugurate the Yellow Line at 11:45 AM and board the train to Electronic City. At 12:55 PM, he will attend a one-hour programme at the IIIT campus, during which he will lay the foundation stone for Metro Phase 3. Modi will then return to HAL Airport by helicopter and depart for Delhi.

Yellow Line Stations: Bommasandra, Hebbagodi, Huskur Road, Infosys Foundation (Konappana Agrahara), Electronic City, Beretena Agrahara, Hosa Road, Singasandra, Kudlu Gate, Hongasandra, Bommanahalli, Central Silk Board, BTM Layout, Jayadeva Hospital, Ragigudda, RV Road.

Interchange Stations:
1.    RV Road – Green Line (Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Rd to Madavara)
2.    Jayadeva Hospital – Pink Line (Nagawara to Kalena Agrahara)
3.    Central Silk Board – Blue Line (Silk Board to KR Puram)
