  • Speed restriction imposed between Jayanagar and RV Road stations

  • Train frequency and headway remain unchanged

Civil maintenance work forces BMRCL to reduce train speed between Jayanagar and RV Road stations, while assuring commuters that train frequency and headway will remain unchanged.

Commuters using Namma Metro’s Green Line will experience a temporary reduction in train speed between Jayanagar and RV Road stations following civil maintenance work being undertaken along this stretch. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) confirmed that the restriction has been imposed purely as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety.

According to BMRCL officials, the speed limit has been enforced due to ongoing civil maintenance activities on the elevated corridor between these two stations. As a result, trains will slow down while passing through this particular section, though the impact is expected to be minimal.

Importantly, BMRCL clarified that there will be no changes to the existing train frequency or headway timings. Metro services will continue to operate as per the regular schedule, ensuring that passengers do not face significant delays during peak and non-peak hours.

Officials stated that the speed restriction is temporary and will remain in place only until the maintenance work is completed. Regular inspections and safety checks are being carried out to ensure smooth and secure metro operations.
