SWR launches special express train connecting Bengaluru-Mangaluru for Dasara festival rush

The special train will make stops at several key stations, including Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, and Bantwal, in both directions.

To manage the surge in passenger traffic during the Dasara festival, South Western Railway has announced the operation of a special express train between Yesvantpur and Mangaluru Junction. This special train will run for one trip in each direction.

The Yesvantpur to Mangaluru Junction Express (Train No. 06257) will depart from Yesvantpur at 11:55 p.m. on September 30 and is scheduled to reach Mangaluru Junction at 11:15 a.m. the following day. In return, Train No. 06258, the Mangaluru Junction to Yesvantpur Express, will depart at 2:35 p.m. on October 1, arriving at Yesvantpur at 11:30 p.m. the same day.

Stops at several key stations

The upcoming train will comprise 22 coaches, including two AC 2-Tier, three AC 3-Tier, eleven Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, and two SLR/D coaches. This configuration aims to provide a range of travel options for passengers, catering to varying comfort levels and travel needs, as announced by South Western Railway.
