Minister D K Shivakumar responds to growing outrage over potholes, emphasizing city-wide repairs and highlighting nationwide road issues while criticizing previous BJP government.
In response to rising outrage over potholes and deteriorating road infrastructure in Bengaluru, Karnataka Minister D K Shivakumar addressed the issue, stating that poor roads are a nationwide problem, not limited to Karnataka.
Speaking on the ongoing repair work, Shivakumar said, “The city is closing 1,000 potholes every day across Bengaluru. Even if it rains, we are not stopping our work.” He criticized the previous BJP government, adding, “If BJP had done this work properly, this situation wouldn’t have arisen. Now that elections are approaching, these problems are being highlighted.”
