ThunderPlus’ new EV charging hub near Bengaluru airport opens, can charge upto 100 cars at once

ThunderPlus has launched a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) charging hub in Mutthugadahalli, situated just a few kilometers from Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

Spanning 28,000 sq. ft., the new facility is equipped with a one-megawatt capacity and offers a wide range of charging options to suit both personal and commercial EVs. The hub features chargers from 7.4 kW AC units to 240 kW DC chargers, making it compatible with everything from entry-level electric cars to high-end models, as well as light and heavy-duty vehicles.

This expansive facility aims to cater to a variety of users, including individual EV owners, fleet operators, long-haul bus services, and cargo transporters. Capable of simultaneously charging over 100 cars and more than 10 buses, it positions ThunderPlus as a key player in India’s growing EV infrastructure market.

Following the success of its Hyderabad charging station, ThunderPlus is also planning to expand to Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The company currently operates across Southern India, with additional stations in Gujarat, Delhi, and Bihar. With more than 5,000 chargers deployed nationwide, ThunderPlus is working towards a robust national charging network.

The company envisions to electrify key Indian highways with ultra-fast, high-output charging stations. The company has already completed the electrification of the Hyderabad-Vijayawada corridor and will soon extend to the Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam stretch.
