The Karnataka Cabinet had approved the project at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crore, with the goal of creating a major tourism attraction offering a 360-degree view of the city. However, the project has faced significant hurdles. Initially, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) refused to provide the required land for the Skydeck. In response, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) identified two alternative sites, including Hemmigepura, and invited tenders for the project.

Unfortunately, land litigation at the Hemmigepura site led to the cancellation of the tender. Despite efforts to resolve the issue, BBMP is still struggling to move forward. If the situation remains unresolved, the BBMP is considering purchasing a new plot to ensure the project can proceed.

The Skydeck, which promises to be a landmark attraction for Bengaluru, remains in limbo, and officials are hopeful that the ongoing efforts to resolve the land and legal issues will allow the project to move forward soon.
