Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road (ORR), a vital corridor connecting major tech parks, is once again experiencing severe traffic congestion due to ongoing infrastructure projects. Commuters are facing significant delays, particularly during peak hours, as roadworks and metro construction disrupt traffic flow.

The ORR, a crucial route for both daily office-goers and commuters, has become a hotspot for gridlocks, especially around the KR Puram Railway Station and Marathahalli areas. Social media posts from frustrated citizens highlight the extent of the delays, with some reporting being stuck for over an hour.
The situation has worsened as metro construction work continues on the Salem Railway Bridge, further restricting traffic between Mahadevapura and Marathahalli. Bengaluru Police issued an advisory, urging commuters to avoid the ORR and plan their routes in advance to minimize travel time. Authorities have warned of slow-moving traffic in both directions due to the construction activities, particularly affecting the Mahadevapura to Marathahalli stretch.
While the construction is necessary for future infrastructure development, the current situation has left many commuters dissatisfied. The traffic woes have once again brought attention to the need for improved road planning and timely completion of civic projects to ease daily travel for Bengaluru residents.
