According to reports, the victim's father had borrowed Rs 70,000 from Ravikumar and repaid Rs 40,000. However, the lender used this as a pretext to exploit the teenager.
Ravikumar would visit the victim's house in her father's absence, feigning concerns over the loan repayment. He then subjected the minor to repeated sexual assaults, intimidation, and emotional blackmail.
Threatening to release private videos online, Ravikumar coerced the victim into submission.
The horrific abuse has left the family and community shaken.
Police have booked Ravikumar under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The incident highlights the vulnerability of minors to exploitation and the need for stringent action against perpetrators.
An investigation is underway.
