  • Vehicle coming from RR Junction towards Khodays circle have been asked to move towards to Krishna flour mill
  • KG Road, Sheshadari Road, GT Road and roads around Freedom Park and Majestic Bus Stand included among roads to avoid
  • Traffic disruptions have been noted in Mysore Road and Nayandahalli

The eve of the Bengaluru Bandh witnessed slowing down of traffic caused by demonstrations in some parts of the city such as Mysuru Road, Nayandahalli and Sangolli Raayanna flyover. Taxis and even 2 wheelers are being stopped by protestors over suspicions of carrying out a Rapido request. The Bengaluru traffic police issued an advisory to drivers to avoid any unnecessary hassle.

The advisory stated “The Karnataka State Private Vehicles Owners Association has given a call for "Bengaluru Bandh" on 11.09.2023. There might be disruption in operation of taxis, maxi cabs, private buses and auto rickshaws. Therefore, all road users are advised to use alternative roads and plan their travel accordingly;

  1. Vehicle coming from RR Junction towards Khodays circle: move towards to Krishna flour mill and proceed towards Malleshwaram
  2. Vehicles coming from Goodshed road proceed towards G T Road via Sangolli Rayanna circle to reach Okalipuram and proceed towards Sujatha Theatre.
  3. Vehicles coming from Ananda Rao circle should move towards Old JDS office road and reach Sheshadripuram Road.
  4. Vehicles coming from Mysuru Bank circle, proceed towards Palace road towards Maharani junction underpass and go towards Basaveshwara circle.

Roads to avoid include KG Road, Sheshadari Road, GT Road and roads around Freedom Park and Majestic Bus Stand.”
