“Bete ko haat lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar”; Shahrukh breaks 4th wall in Jawan trailer?

The trailer for Jawan has received 5 million within 4 hours of its release and has increased anticipation among fans. One particular dialogue has left many wondering if Shahrukh Khan has broken the 4th wall and sent a message across to his detractors.

 The line “Bete ko haat lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar” plays right before the frame showcasing Gauri Khan as the producer of the film. “Before laying a hand on the son, talk to the father,” would be the translation of the dialogue. The arrest of Aryan Khan, Shahrukh Khan’s son over alleged consumption of drugs is something etched into the public memories, especially for those who are fans of Shahrukh Khan. Sameer Wankhede, the lead investigator of the case was alleged to have been involved in corruption, demanding Rs 25 crore from Shahrukh Khan for ensuring the safe release of his son. He was later removed from the case and transferred to Chennai. Sameer had however claimed that he was being targeted for his patriotism. There were speculations that the arrest of Aryan Khan was politically motivated. 

However King Khan is known for his diplomatic attitude and avoidance of direct confrontation. Would it be fair to look at the dialogue as a demonstration of the same? Well, art is open to interpretation.
