The officials sought crucial details about the attack, including the time and location of their arrival as well as their experience when the terrorists arrived. Sujata was asked specific questions about the appearance, behavior and language of the attackers and whether she noticed any marks or weapons on them. She was also shown sketches of the suspects to help with identification.

In parallel to the investigation, the Revenue Department has visited Bharat Bhushan’s family home to collect important documents such as the deceased’s bank details, Aadhaar, PAN card, and death certificate. This documentation is vital for the release of the Rs 10 lakh compensation announced by the government.

While the NIA has not yet visited the family of another victim in Shivamogga, Manjunath, his wife, Pallavi, has been informed that their visit is expected soon.
