In an official statement, BharatPe confirmed that Grover “will not be associated with BharatPe in any capacity nor be a part of the shareholding of the company.” As part of the deal, certain shares held by Grover will be transferred to the Resilient Growth Trust for the benefit of BharatPe, while the remainder will be managed by his family trust.
The settlement brings an end to a tumultuous chapter for both parties, allowing them to move forward without the weight of ongoing litigation. It also resolves multiple legal cases between Grover and BharatPe, including accusations of financial misconduct during his tenure. Grover was accused of fraudulent activities, including payments to fictitious HR consultants, inflated vendor bills, and fabricated invoices. These allegations surfaced following his controversial exit in 2022.
Grover’s wife, Madhuri Jain Grover, was also dismissed from BharatPe during the fallout. The legal challenges escalated recently with the arrest of Deepak Gupta, a relative of Grover and former Head of Procurement at BharatPe’s parent company, Resilient Innovation, by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police.
