After nearly three weeks of silence on social media, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, fondly known as Big B , returned to X on Sunday morning with a powerful and emotional post. For over 20 days, he had been posting only blank messages, leaving his followers puzzled. But with his latest message, Bachchan made a strong statement by addressing the brutal Pahalgam terrorist attack that took place on April 22, claiming 26 innocent lives, including tourists and a Nepalese national.

Big B vividly recounted the horrifying experience from the perspective of a woman who witnessed her husband being killed at point-blank range. In his heartfelt post, he described the inhumane cruelty of the terrorist and the unbearable pain of the victim’s wife. The post was laced with emotion, patriotism, and poetic depth, as Bachchan invoked the words of his late father and renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He used a powerful verse symbolizing the pain of widowhood and the resilience of Indian women and connected it to India's precision military response, Operation Sindoor.
He ended his post by saluting the Indian Armed Forces with “Jai Hind” and “Jai Hind Ki Sena,” and reiterated the commitment to never give up, quoting the iconic “Path of Fire” lines from Agneepath, which was also inspired by his father's poetry.
Big B’s post echoed the sentiments of several film industry celebrities like Aamir Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Rajinikanth, and others who condemned the attack and praised India’s retaliation that destroyed nine terrorist sites on May 7. Meanwhile, peace talks between Indian and Pakistani military officials have resulted in a ceasefire agreement effective from 5 PM Saturday, halting operations across land, air, and sea.
