Reportedly, Abdu explained that the couple encountered cultural challenges as their relationship progressed. He acknowledged that making the decision had been difficult, but emphasized the need for a partner with mental strength who could comprehend the unique challenges he faces as a public figure, particularly given his reputation for determination.
Abdu’s engagement took place in Sharjah, UAE, with both families in attendance. In an earlier interview with Khaleej Times, Abdu had expressed his excitement for the future, saying, "I cannot wait to start this new journey with Amira. Finding love has been difficult, but I felt blessed to have found her."
Friends and fellow contestants from Bigg Boss 16—Sajid Khan, Shiv Thakare, and Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia—had even expressed their excitement about attending the wedding.
On the professional front, Abdu is rumoured to return to Bigg Boss for its 18th season, where he will host a special segment.
