The gruesome killing has triggered widespread alarm, especially as the state gears up for elections. Khemka was associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and had previously been in the spotlight for his growing influence in both healthcare and party affairs.
This is not the first time that something like this happened to the family. Six years ago, Khemka’s son was also murdered under suspicious circumstanced, a case that had sent shockwaves across Bihar’s business community.
The latest murder, occurring so close to an election season, has raised serious concerns about law and order in Bihar. With the incident taking place in a high-security area like Gandhi Maidan, it has also sparked questions about police preparedness and public safety.
Police officials have launched a manhunt to identify and apprehend the attackers. CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed, and checkpoints across the city have been alerted.
