In a bizarre and extraordinary incident from Bettiah village in Bihar, a 1-year-old child bit and killed a snake after it slithered close during playtime. The child, named Govind, was playing near his house when a snake approached and coiled around his arm. In an instinctive reaction, the toddler bit the reptile with his small teeth, causing the snake to die on the spot, as reported by locals.

Immediately after the incident, Govind began to show signs of uneasiness. Alarmed, his parents rushed him to a nearby primary health center where he was given emergency treatment. He was later transferred to the government medical college hospital in Bettiah for advanced care and observation.

Doctors at the hospital confirmed that Govind’s condition is currently stable and that he is under close medical supervision. Fortunately, the snake did not appear to have bitten the child. The rare turn of events has left the local villagers astonished, as such cases are almost unheard of.

Govind’s grandmother, Mateshwari Devi, said she was nearby collecting vegetables when the snake emerged. According to her, the child fearlessly struck the snake and bit it hard, leading to its death. The unusual case has sparked curiosity and awe across the region, with many calling it nothing short of miraculous.
