Aishwarya Rai's eyes are so beautiful because she ate fish everyday: BJP MLA

Aishwarya Rai’s expressive eyes have won her fans from across the world. Bollywood has penned down several songs in service of the same. “Kajra Re” , an iconic song, is a classic example of the same. Her eyes have also now become a part of the political discourse. 

Vijaykumar Gavit, the Minister for Tribal Development in the State Government of Maharashtra addressed a gathering in the Dhule district located in northern Maharashtra. This was during a function organised by the fishermen community. The minister hence waxed eloquently about the various benefits of eating fish. 

"People who consume fish on a daily basis develop smooth skin and their eyes sparkle. If anyone looks at you, the person will get attracted (towards you). Did I tell you about Aishwarya Rai? She lived near the seashore in Mangaluru. She would consume fish daily. Have you seen her eyes? You will also have eyes like her," the minister said in his address.

“If the youth start eating fish, they would start looking good and hence win the hearts of girls easily,” the minister added. “The fish contain some oils, it makes your skin smooth,” he explained. 

NCP leader Amol Mitkari criticised the minister over the remark. He called the comments frivolous and directed the minster to focus on more pressing issues faced by the tribal community.
