  • A statement from Sharukh ahead of 2017 auction has gone viral
  • CSK and KKR share a good rapport off the pitch
  • Dhoni is recovering froma knee injury

When the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won their first ever Indian Premier League (IPL) final in 2012, they not only defeated the defending Champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their home ground but also ensured that CSK were prevented from achieving a hat-trick of IPL trophies. No team has managed this feat even till date. The two teams however share a very good rapport outside the field despite a history of fierce and intense clashes.

With the IPL Auction to be held starting from 2:30 PM on 19th December, a statement from Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan about Indian World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni has once again grabbed everyone’s attention. Back in 2017, ahead of a similar auction Shahrukh Khan had said, “Yaar main toh usko apna pajama bech ke bhi kharid lun, wo aaye toh auction mein (I can sell my pants in order to purchase Dhoni but he does not enter the fray of the auctions).”

With a suspected knee injury the future of  Dhoni in the CSK setup has been a big question mark. But hasn’t that been the case for the last several years? The fans love his presence and he has the backing of the management. It seems like he is eternally bound to the franchise.
