Bollywood actor Salman Khan has disclosed to the police that he believes the Lawrence Bishnoi gang orchestrated an attack on his residence in April this year with the intent to kill him and his family members. This statement is a significant part of the charge sheet filed by the Mumbai Police in connection with the incident.

On April 14, Khan was asleep at his Galaxy Apartments residence when he was awakened by a sound resembling a firecracker. His police bodyguard informed him at approximately 4:55 am that two individuals on a motorbike had fired at his first-floor balcony. Khan noted that this was not the first attempt to harm him or his family, prompting his bodyguard to file a complaint at the Bandra police station.

The actor later learned that Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother, Anmol Bishnoi, had claimed responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post. Khan stated that the gang had previously discussed killing him and his relatives, reinforcing his belief that the April incident was an attempt on their lives.

The police have filed a 1,735-page charge sheet in the case, which the special court for Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act cases has acknowledged, citing sufficient material to proceed against the six arrested individuals: Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Anujkumar Thapan (deceased), Mohd Rafiq Choudhary, and Harpal Singh. Thapan reportedly committed suicide in police custody, while the others remain in judicial custody.
