The recent deadly terror attack in Pahalgam has left the nation in shock and fury. As grief and anger grip the country, a curious and controversial incident near the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has intensified public sentiment.

Just two days after the brutal militant assault that claimed numerous lives, a man was seen delivering a cake at the premises of the Pakistan High Commission. The act, seemingly minor, has triggered widespread outrage, as many perceived it as deeply insensitive given the national mood. The cake was allegedly ordered by the High Commission itself, although this remains unconfirmed.
The man carrying the cake avoided answering questions from the media who had gathered at the site. Despite repeated inquiries, he offered no response and left silently after handing over the parcel. This silence, paired with the timing and location of the delivery, has fueled public speculation and anger.
In parallel, the Indian government has taken strong diplomatic steps in response to the Pahalgam attack. Pakistan’s envoys in Delhi have been given a deadline to leave the country, and Indian officials stationed in Islamabad have been instructed to return home.
The cake delivery incident, though seemingly trivial, has added fuel to a fire already blazing with public outrage and demands for accountability.
