Bollywood actor John Abraham lashed out at a reporter during the launch of the trailer of Vedaa after being asked about a repetition in terms of the roles he chooses. “Have you seen the film? Can I call out bad questions and idiots? No, I just want to tell you that this is a different kind of movie. According to me, it is a very intense performance of mine. Of course, you haven't watched the film yet. See the film first, after that I'm all yours, whatever you say. But if you are wrong, I'm going to turn around and tear you apart,” John said. Vedaa will be released in theatres on August 15th.

Vedaa directed by Nikkhil Advani is the story of a young girl’s struggle against caste-based discrimination. The anticipation of the treatment given to the storyline is high among the audience. “When I met Allu Arjun, and we were talking about doing a film, he looked at me and said, you know what’s wrong with Bollywood? You’ve forgotten how to be heroes. It’s not mythology; it’s heroism that’s missing in Hindi films. Everyone thinks of south cinema being mythology, but they take a raw emotion. Like water irrigation canals…let’s make a film about it. Now, they package that with incredible action and incredible moments of heroism,” Nikkhil said in an interaction with Baradwaj Rangan for Galatta Plus.
