B.Y Vijayendra has planned procession against Siddaramaiah

Complaint was filed by social activist Abraham

Complaint was filed with State Election Commission

A complaint has been filed against CM Siddaramaiah in relation to the allegations that have been made against his family with regard to the irregularities in the  Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The complaint was filed by social activist Abraham with the State Election Commission. The complaint alleges that this asset wasn’t declared during the 2013 Karnataka Vidhana Sabha Elections. This was however brought to the notice of the Lokayukta. The complaint urged action against CM Siddaramaiah for withholding this information.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is attempting to use these allegations for political benefits. In 2010, CM Siddaramiah had initiated a procession to Janardhan Redy’s residence in light of the mining scam wherein his name had surfaced. Reports indicate that the Karnataka BJP State President B.Y Vijayendra has planned a similar procession against CM Siddaramaiah.

In 2010, Siddarmaiah took out a procession from Bengaluru up to Bellary. The BJP could potentially take out a procession starting from Bengaluru and extending up to Mysuru. The procession may take place in the first week of August.

The Monsoon session of the parliament will commence on the 15th of July. The BJP will likely raise the issue of the MUDA irregularities and the Valmiki Commission scam during the session.
