The temporary shutdown is due to pipeline integration works under Stage-5 of the Cauvery Water Supply Project, along with other urgent maintenance activities. According to BWSSB, the ongoing project is aimed at improving water supply to various zones in the city in the long run.

Residents across affected areas have been urged to store sufficient drinking and household water in advance to manage through the supply cut. BWSSB has also assured that emergency response teams will remain on standby during this period to address any critical water-related issues.

The disruption is expected to affect several neighborhoods in BBMP limits, though a detailed list of impacted zones is yet to be published. Authorities are requesting citizens to cooperate and avoid unnecessary water usage during this maintenance window.

While the short-term inconvenience may cause disruptions to daily routines, officials assure that the infrastructure upgrade will ensure better and more reliable water distribution for Bengaluru in the future.
