    The first bullet train to run in August 2026

The latest survey map in relation to the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru Bullet train has been accessed.  

This survey is being conducted by the Indian Railways’ in relation to its much ambitious bullet train corridor.  

The stations in this route would include Arakkonam, Bangarapete, Channappattana, among others. 

The project is a proposed 435 km long high-speed rail line. Though the actual distance between Mysuru and Chennai is almost 485 kms, this project will be just 435 kms. However, the distance between Bengaluru and Mysuru can be covered in just 45 minutes. 

The bullet train

This train is also called “Shinkansen”. It is a passenger train that operates on Japan’s high-speed railway network. These trains can hit the 320km per hour mark and give the passengers a thrill as they travel at such high speeds. 

The Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor

Presently, work on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor is going on. Once it gets operational in August 2026, it will cover the distance of 508kms, running at a speed of 320km/hr.
