Chennai: Fans swarm around Ajith outside airport

Tamil actor Ajith who is also an avid bike enthusiast had undertaken a motorcycle tour across Australia and New Zealand and returned to Chennai on August 23rd with the shooting for his upcoming film, Vidaamuyarchi set to be underway soon. 

Fans swarmed around Ajith upon having spotted him outside the airport. Ajith however did not indulge them and headed straight to his cars even as fans tried to get him into the frame while having a selfie clicked. The video of this incident was shared on social media and has become viral.

Excesses from the fans of Ajith who have commemorated him with the title “Thala” is not a recent phenomenon. During England’s tour of India in 2021, the first test match was held in the MA Chidambaram stadium. Ajith fans had demanded an update on one of his slated releases, Valimai in the stadium. All rounder from England, Moeen Ali who was fielding along the boundary was also asked about the update to which he was perplexed and later confirmed with R Ashwin who hails from Chennai about what exactly “Valimai update” means. 

On the eve of the release of Valimai one of the fans who was enthusiastic in celebrations early in the morning reportedly fell from a truck and succumbed to his injuries.
