Singer Chinmayi Sripada had come in support of Ektha who found herself on the receiving end of a troll attack after saying it was her dream to move out of India and the most favorite part of being in Canada for her was the ability to move around freely.

Chinmayi had tweeted “She is able to walk freely in a country which is not her home. This person and the replies will explain why. I am glad she could leave. Honestly I really wish all our women could just go off somewhere safer.” in response to the video of Ektha that had gone viral which the Twitter account Gabbar Singh had shared.

“I just called a girl - who was faking her accent - stupid and whole berozgar naz!s jumped. Extrapolating it to women safety, naxalism and what not. Twitter outrage cycles are amazing” said Gabbar after the controversy was blown to such an extent that Ektha was offered a job from Truecaller. He then also blocked Chinmayi Sripada’s account.

To this she attached a screenshot of getting blocked and a tweet of Gabbar Singh asking Elon Musk for money for the 289.7 million  impressions his tweet had gained and said,” Does this mean I am now an anti national / urban naxal? You know, women get such hate for blocking men who are downright abusive and send rape threats. Spelling Mistake Sir asked me why I live in the country despite my not feeling safe and if it was ‘for making money’. The standard answer men throw at women for everything from being unable to expose a powerful molester to tolerating domestic violence. All the comments and tweets to his original ‘India’s IQ level is better’ had body shamers, and multiple men saying all women are safe and India is a safe country. So many Men on social media and even otherwise in absolute denial on how daily lives for women are and how much we have numbed ourselves to everyday street sexual harassment. But the day these men have daughters - they’d be the first to tell them in general, ‘it is all unsafe’.”
