According to sources, footage was collected from cameras installed at 21 gates leading to the stadium. This includes 12 cameras from Gates 1 to 6 on Cubbon Road, 10 cameras from Gates 7 to 11 on Link Road, and 20 cameras from Gates 12 to 21 located on Queens Road. The CID has also taken possession of the Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) from all these cameras.
The investigation aims to determine the exact flow of the crowd and identify any lapses in crowd control measures. While the accused have not yet been taken into custody, CID officials are actively analyzing the footage to establish the sequence of events that led to the stampede.
In addition to footage from outside the stadium, the CID plans to examine over 120 CCTV cameras installed inside the stadium premises. These include 360-degree view cameras, perimeter cameras, and standard fixed-position cameras. Investigators are also working to determine whether the crowd size exceeded safety limits and whether adequate preparations were in place to manage it.
