Addressing reporters after the meeting, Bhatt said, “We discussed whether or not to accept the resignations, and now both have been accepted.” The development comes amid an ongoing CID investigation into a recent incident related to Chinnaswamy stampede, though Bhatt clarified that he has not been contacted by the CID yet.

“There is an investigation underway. I was present at the meeting where this issue was discussed. We will fully cooperate with the CID and the police in the inquiry,” he added.

Bhatt emphasized that the focus must now return to the game. “Cricket should go on. That is why we held this meeting—to discuss the way forward,” he stated. While the KSCA has deliberated on future plans, no replacements have been appointed yet for the secretary or treasurer positions. “Another meeting will be held to decide on that,” he noted.

He also acknowledged that certain related matters are under judicial review. “The issue is also in the High Court. We will respond to everything through proper channels,” he concluded.

The KSCA is expected to convene again soon to decide on new appointments and continue preparations for upcoming cricketing activities.
