Chitradruga: 4 killed as car rams into stationary truck

The incident occurred near the Mallapura village. It is located along National Highway 13. The car was apparently travelling at a very high speed. It rammed onto a stationary truck parked on the extreme end of the highway. The extent of the impact is visible through the visuals of the wreckage caused by the accident. 

The incident occurred at 7:30 AM in the morning. The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Shamshuddin, 37-year-old Mallika, 42-year-old Khalil and 13-year-old Tabrez. 3 others have been injured. The injured Nargis, Rehan, and Rahman, have been taken to a nearby hospital. The car was enroute Hospet from Tumkur. 

The Chitradurga rural police inspected the site of the accident and investigations are underway. Superintendent of Police, Chitradurga, Dharmendra Kumar Meena briefed the media about the incident.
