Speaking at the Sadhana Samavesha, the Chief Minister defended his government’s achievements over the past two years and condemned the opposition’s claims that such events were merely political shows of strength. He clarified that the function was not about personal power, but about showcasing the government’s commitment to progress.

Siddaramaiah rebuked the BJP and JD(S) for making false allegations and misleading the public, and invited them to share a common platform to engage in open discussion on development. He also criticised their political credibility, referring to past alliances and accusing the parties of lacking public support.

Highlighting Karnataka’s contribution of ₹4.5 lakh crore in taxes to the Centre while receiving only ₹65,000 crore in return, Siddaramaiah questioned the silence of BJP and JD(S) leaders on the matter. He urged them to act in the state’s interest rather than remain submissive to central leadership, and reiterated that Congress earned its mandate through public trust.
