Amidst ongoing price hikes burdening citizens, there's finally a small relief.

Oil marketing companies in India have reduced the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder. The price cut, ranging between Rs 14.5 and Rs 17 depending on the region, has slightly eased the pressure on small businesses and commercial users.

In major cities, the new prices reflect this reduction. In Chennai, the commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1,900, while in Mumbai it's available for Rs 1,700. In the national capital Delhi, the new price is Rs 1,747, whereas in Kolkata, it stands at Rs 1,851.50. Bengaluru residents will now pay Rs 1,769.50 for a 19 kg commercial cylinder.

However, this price drop is limited to commercial cylinders. Household LPG cylinder rates remain unchanged, despite a previous hike on April 8. At that time, the price of domestic cylinders was increased from Rs 803 to Rs 853. Similarly, the subsidized cylinders under the Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) saw a price jump from Rs 503 to Rs 553. There has been no rollback or adjustment in these household prices in the latest revision.
