Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 15th edition of Aero India at Yelahanka Air Force Station on February 10, 2025, highlighting the event as a hub for critical and frontier technologies. He emphasized that the platform would foster stronger ties among like-minded nations based on mutual respect and shared interests.

A major highlight of the event was India’s unveiling of the full-scale engineering model of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). Displayed at the India Pavilion, this marks the first public showcase of the indigenous fifth-generation stealth fighter, reinforcing India’s push for self-reliance in defence. The AMCA, developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), integrates cutting-edge technologies, including AI-powered decision-making, stealth features, and netcentric warfare capabilities.

The event also saw strong participation from the United States, with senior officials and over 25 American exhibitors displaying advanced defence technology. Among the aircraft showcased were the F-16, F-35, KC-135 Stratotanker, and B-1 bomber, underscoring the growing India-US defence partnership.

The event continues to serve as a key platform for global collaboration, showcasing India’s evolving defence capabilities on the world stage.
