Judge Santosh Gajanan Bhatt delivered the order on Thursday, stating that the circumstances and gravity of the allegations did not warrant the granting of bail at this stage. The rejection means Prajwal Revanna will remain in jail as the case proceedings continue.

Prajwal Revanna, a member of the prominent political family in Karnataka and grandson of former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, was arrested following serious allegations of sexual assault. The case was registered at the Holenarasipura Police Station in Hassan district. Multiple women have accused him of sexual misconduct, leading to a high-profile investigation.

The court emphasized the sensitive nature of the case, the possibility of tampering with evidence, and the need to protect the witnesses during this crucial phase of investigation and trial.

The bail rejection comes as a significant setback for Revanna and his legal team, who have been trying to secure his release. Legal experts believe further appeals are likely to follow in higher courts in the coming days.
