Amidst the rain, the spread of the coronavirus continues to increase in the state. In Bengaluru, the rising number of COVID cases every day is causing concern. Meanwhile, cases of influenza and SARI are also increasing, prompting the Education Department to issue COVID guidelines for schools.

The deadly COVID has quietly begun a new innings in the state, claiming four lives. The number of daily infections is also increasing, raising public concern. In the past 24 hours, 17 new COVID cases have been reported.

Increase in Influenza and SARI Cases Amid COVID

The COVID variant JN.1 virus has entered the state. Meanwhile, 4,536 cases of SARI and influenza have been detected so far, causing concern for health department officials. The rise in SARI and influenza cases day by day in the state is a cause for worry for the health department.

Education Department Issues COVID Guidelines for Schools

To prevent the spread of COVID infection, the state education department has issued guidelines for all government and private schools. If children show symptoms like fever, cough, or cold, they should not be sent to school. Treatment should be given based on medical advice, and children should be sent to school only after they have fully recovered, according to the education department guidelines.

Across the country, 3,700 active cases have been reported. Among these, 360 new cases were detected in the past 24 hours. Silently making a comeback, COVID continues its mischief. Experts suggest it is not very dangerous. However, those with breathing or other health problems should start taking preventive measures now.
