Karnataka reported five new COVID-19 positive cases today, with one death confirmed in Bengaluru, raising fresh concerns over a potential resurgence of the virus. The deceased, an 84-year-old man from Whitefield, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital but succumbed after his condition deteriorated.

The health department has urged vulnerable individuals, especially senior citizens, to exercise increased caution. The deceased was reportedly in a high-risk category due to age and underlying health conditions.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have advised the public to follow basic safety protocols such as wearing masks in crowded areas, maintaining social distancing, and practicing hand hygiene. While the overall numbers remain low, officials emphasize that early signs of a spike should not be ignored.

With active surveillance and public cooperation, health officials hope to contain further spread of the virus.
