  • Sammer and Javeria met in Germany
  • They got engaged in 2018
  • Javeria's visa had been rejected twice

Another cross-border love story has won hearts across borders. Sameer Khan belonging to Kolkata met Javeria Khanam belonging to Karachi when they were both students in Germany. They fell in love and got engaged in 2018. Sameer stated that his dream came true when he met Javeria.

Sameer had seen Javeria’s photo on his mother’s phone 5 and a half years back. His mother told him that she is her relative, Azmat Ismail Khan’s daughter. He had decided right then that he would marry her.

The pandemic had forced them to go back to their respective nations. None of Javeria’s relatives have come along with her. Sameer’s father, Ahmed is a well known businessman in Kolkata.

On December 5th, Javeria arrived in Amritsar. She was received by Sameer and Ahmed. She procured a 45-day visa for this visit. From Amritar they headed to Kolkata. Their marriage has been scheduled on 6th January.

Prior to this her visa application has been rejected by the Indian authorities on 2 occasions. Social media activism and journalist Maqbool Ahmed Wasi Khaadiyam aided her in the process subsequently. “I am very happy to be here. Just on arrival, I am already getting so much love here,” Javeria said in an interaction with reports in Attari.
