Muneer Ahmad had fallen in love with Menal Khan, a Pakistani national. He had formally requested permission from the CRPF to marry her. The marriage, conducted without a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the CRPF, is now under scrutiny.

Further complications arose when it was discovered that Menal Khan was living in India without proper authorization. Muneer also failed to inform the CRPF about her presence. As a result, he now faces allegations of violating protocol and posing a potential threat to national security. Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against him by the CRPF.
Due to government orders to deport Pakistani citizens, Muneer Ahmad was compelled to send his wife back to Pakistan. Reports say he was emotional and teary-eyed while parting ways with her, highlighting the personal toll of his actions amid rising Indo-Pak tensions.
