  • Kohli danced to the tunes to ‘Chaleya’ from Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan and ‘Ainvayi Ainvayi’ from Band Baaja Baaraat
  • The stadium had arranged a light show during the drinks break
  • Fireworks were also displayed after India’s emphatic 243-run victory

In the first innings of the game against South Africa, Kohli scored an unbeaten century under difficult conditions in a calm and composed fashion. The highlight of the second innings, apart from the sheer destruction caused by the bowlers was Kohli enjoying himself along with entertaining the crowd.

The first instance of this was his celebration of Klassen’s wicket after it was overturned owing to Rohit Sharma opting for the DRS (Decision Review System). His excitement transferred onto his face and he also ensured that the South African batsmen got a glimpse of the same. The International Cricket Council’s Instagram page shared two videos which featured Kohli dancing to the tunes to ‘Chaleya’ from Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan and ‘Ainvayi Ainvayi’ from Band Baaja Baaraat which was the debut of Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma.

The stadium had arranged a light show during the drinks break in the second innings with the tune of ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ to accompany it. Fireworks were also displayed after India’s emphatic 243-run victory.

When Kohli got to his century, it lacked his usual chest thumping gestures and excitement but the fans compensated for that. The recorded decibel at the stadium at that instant was 118 decibels.
