As part of Cyber Crimes Conclave to create more awareness on cyber crimes and related challenges, Newsfirst organised a hackathon event, in which several teams, spanning several colleges from the city took part. 

Today, on Day 2 of the event, the winners were announced. While PES Institute of Technology secured the first place and earned a whopping Rs 2 lakh as prize money, Manipal Institute of Technology won the second place, earning Rs 1 lakh. The third prize was won by Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, who walked home with a cool Rs 50000!

The event served as a platform for innovation and collaboration, drawing participation from 30 diverse teams. The culmination of these events led to the selection of finalists for the grand finale. It is needless to say that the hackathon was a testament to the enthusiasm and talent prevalent among the city’s collegiate community.

As students engrossed themselves in the event, they also reiterated that such events are a morale-booster, augmenting their confidence levels. 

Furthermore, the management of the participating colleges underscored the practical significance of these hackathons. They highlighted how NewsFirst provided a unique opportunity for students to tackle real-world challenges within the cyber realm.
